The course inspired Henriette to create Japanese folded squares while travelling on holiday, and then to create an attractive wall hanging on her return.

Course on fabric decoration for dressmaking, Oxford Summer School, Summer 2016
This 3 day course entitled 'Decorate your Fabric, make a Garment' was co-tutored with freelance designer and pattern cutter Chris Eady. In the first part of the course I helped participants explore techniques for creating decorative effects on silk, cotton and polyester fabrics. After experimentation, each student created a hand-decorated length of fabric which they made into a finished garment with Chris in the second half of the course.
